Our Team
How We Got Started
St. Augustine Yacht Sales was started in the early 1990’s by Doug Crane. His goal in starting the business was to help people fulfill their dream of boating. We have done this over the years by helping people with the purchase and sale of both fishing and cruising boats. Our business not only sells boats locally, but all over the world and of all type of designs. This makes us the best boat broker you could work with. Because of the relationships we develop with our clients, they return to us repeatedly when purchasing or selling their vessel. It is our mission to go above and beyond for each client and to do whatever we can for their happiness in boating. Also protecting buyers and sellers through all aspects of the selling process is imperative to us.
If you are already a client of ours, thank you. If not, we want to change that by making your boating dream come true.

Doug has been in the marine industry all his life. He started as a boy at a marina in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, where his father was the managing partner. In his late teens he moved to St. Augustine and worked for a boat dealer where he sold, serviced, and handled warranty for new and used power and sail boats. This experience taught him customer service is most important. In the early 1980’s he moved into the yacht brokerage business and continues to the present day. With over forty years in the marine industry, he prides himself on his honesty and integrity and will go the extra mile for his clients.
David Huff
Call Dave – 904-806-2389
Dave lived in St. Augustine for 22 years and owned and operated Dave Huff Yacht and Slip Sales. In 2013 he took a year long cruise on his yawl and then relocated to the Daytona Beach area where he represents us now covering the Daytona/New Smyrna market. He was Commodore of both the St. Augustine Yacht Club and the Halifax River Yacht Club in Daytona Beach and also ran the offshore sailing programs for both clubs, including the biennial Gulf Streamer Ocean Race from Daytona to Charleston. He currently owns his Morgan 38 Yawl and a Chris Craft 426 motor yacht. His experience is valuable to clients who are looking for a classic sailing yacht or a modern downeast design or motor yacht, and he enjoys helping match his clients to the vessel most suited to their needs. He is still involved with racing sailboats but also loves to cruise with Jeni and their golden retriever Morgan aboard.
